The "Comparison with Related Libraries" section is notably missing comparison against aeon and sktime, which also aim to be the kind of holistic time-series library like Merlion.
The comparison in general is quite poor. Where is a basic model list? You know, one of the biggest choices when forecasting...
Also, when saying "Nixtla" do they mean TimeGPT or one of their other libraries? Because the former definitely supports exogenous regressors, while they say it doesn't.
I personally prefer Darts because it's very user-friendly, and the devs are responsive,
I do wish these were easier to integrate with prometheus or graphite. They both have rudimentary forecasting models but both leave much to be desired in parameterization.
TimeFM is a single pre-trained decoder-only model for time-series forecasting. Merlion is a collection of models, both neural and more traditional, for a wide variety of time-series-related tasks. I can imagine TimeFM ending up in the set eventually, given right circumstances.
Your link includes the following points about the law that established the Merlion as a symbol/logo for the tourism board, which makes me think their variation is fine:
STB does not own copyright for variations of the Merlion Symbol, unless these variations were specifically commissioned by STB.
STB does not own copyright for any works which incorporate variations of the Merlion Symbol.
Users are solely responsible for obtaining any other necessary approvals, permissions, and licences as may be required under law, e.g., Copyright Act 2021.
In other words, they don't own the concept of a mermaid-lion chimera. Or the name "merlion".
STB promotes the use of the Merlion Symbol as a symbol of Singapore appearing in works incorporating the symbol or any representation *resembling* it (e.g., commercial product packaging, artwork, etc.). Any individual, organisation, or company ("User") may apply to STB for permission to use the Merlion Symbol or a symbol or representation resembling it.

I don't see `tsai` in there either
I don't see Uber's Orbit either [0].

Same here. The open source space here is neglected. I just heard about Grafana's augurs: https://github.com/grafana/augurs
How does this compare to AutoGluon's Time Series AutoML?
Is this a competitor to Google's TimeFM? https://github.com/google-research/timesfm

Thanks for the summary explainer. Very hard to keep up with the abundance of models if you don't work directly in that area.
Salesforce is building Moirai for that part https://www.salesforce.com/blog/moirai/
Hopefully Salesforce Legal cleared everything surrounding this project's name and logo:
https://www.stb.gov.sg/about-stb/stb-brand-assets#94e2cb04e4...
That said, it also looks like this project has been around for 3+ years without issue.

A warm welcome to the new buzzword expression "Time series intelligence", further muddying the water of AI terminology and confusing everyone.
Time series is an established term. For example predicting an earthquake from a sequence of events, or a stock price change, etc.
I never worked very seriously with time series problems, but I know enough from the title to know I can’t evaluate how good this thing is.
Same here!
Notice that time series database is Prometheus.
Watch YouTube President videos or collect GitHub links? What to do?
Bump! AI is important.
Bump! Old enterprise company by the way.
